Your practitioner will first cleanse your face and apply a thin layer of numbing cream (if preferred), your practitioner will then apply a serum and use the needled pen to complete the treatment. Your practitioner will explain the procedure prior to the commencement of the treatment and will check how you are throughout.
Microneedling isn’t painful but may be uncomfortable, the most common sensation during the treatment is a warm, scratching feeling however there may be more pain around the ‘bonier’ areas of the face.
Your face may feel warm, red or tight immediately after however this should reduce within the following 48 hours, there is a risk of swelling and bruising on the treatment areas although this is rare.
It is important that you are not directly exposed to the sun in the weeks following Microneedling treatment as your skin will be sensitive to sunlight and it is advised that sunscreen is worn.
It is advised that you:
-Leave the products on overnight following your treatment
-The following morning, wash your face with a clean flannel and pat down
-Apply a smoothing cream to hydrate
-Use SPF of at least 30 and avoid direct sun exposure for 2 weeks
