What should I expect?

Your practitioner will first cleanse and dry your face before using a scalpel to remove dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz). The treatment is minimal invasive and should take around 45 minutes.

Is there any downtime?

There is little to no downtime following Dermaplaning. Your face may feel red or tight immediately after however, this should reduce within the following 48 hours.

It is important that you are not directly exposed to the sun in the weeks following Dermaplaning treatment and it is advised that sunscreen is worn.

Does hair grow back thicker and darker?

No, superficial vellus hair (peach fuzz) will grow back at the same rate and with the same texture as it was before the treatment.
